Knife Thirty Seven - a 6” plain carbon steel kitchen knife.
Soon after my daughter Sarah moved into her new house, I got a message saying she really needed a good chopping knife for cutting up vegetables, and she needed it in a hurry!
It had been a while since I had forged anything, so I fired up the forge and used a piece of car spring to make this knife. I used tufnol for the handle as it will be far more resistant to washing up than wood is.
I finished it in a week and I was pleased with how it turned out. Sarah said she was impressed with how well it cut.
