I forged this blade from a bar of O1 tool steel, and used a brass bolster soldered to brass sheet as a spacer. The wood is Zebrano, which I realy like for appearance, but it does swell slightly after a while which is a pain. This is the first forged knife I made alone and the photos were taken after 9 months of daily use in the kitchen, so carbon steel can last well if looked after.
