The blade is 72 layers of CS70 and mild ground to create the ladder pattern. I decided not to etch this blade and regret it now. I managed to get a photo that just shows the pattern. There are some minor flaws in the blade, but they aren’t obvious. The handle is Mexican Rosewood, and the tang is threaded to hold the pommel on securely.
